Hazing Prevention Media Toolkit – The Toolkit houses various graphics, captions, and videos for campus partners to access and display on their websites and social media platforms. Together, we can prevent hazing at UCI!

Multiple UCI departments collaborate closely on the prevention of and response to hazing:

Office of Campus Organizations supports prevention efforts within registered organizations and responds to concerns about hazing within registered student organizations. The office offers Campus Organization Online Learning (COOL) Modules, including an Anti-Hazing COOL Module available for anyone to complete.

Mental health resources are available for all Cornell students through the Counseling Center.

UCI Sorority and Fraternity Life engages in hazing prevention efforts with member organizations and leaders. The UCI Center for Student Wellness & Health Promotion offers various education and workshop opportunities to UCI students, including the Step Up! Bystander Intervention program.

UCI Police Department

  • You may consult with UCI Police for questions regarding California’s state hazing law

UCI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics

  • Conducts hazing prevention efforts within intercollegiate athletics
  • Responds to concerns about hazing within athletic teams

Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct

  • Engages in processing hazing allegations
  • Responds to reports and concerns about hazing within registered student organizations

The Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity (OEOD) responds to concerns and reports involving discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and sexual violence. OEOD also conducts trainings on these topics to student organizations, community members, and departments. OEOD serves students, staff, faculty, and patients at the UCI campus and at UCI Health including the medical center. 

UCI CARE provides free and confidential support services to members of the UCI community impacted by sexual assault, relationship abuse, family violence, and/or stalking. UCI CARE aims to end these forms of power-based personal violence by engaging the campus community in education, programming, and transformative action.
