Dear Campus Community,
In Winter quarter of 2020, a Hazing Prevention Coalition was formed with the charge of convening stakeholders and community partners on establishing goals and leading campuswide efforts on Hazing prevention given significant cases across college campuses.
Here at UCI, the newly formed Coalition, made up of students, faculty and staff, meets regularly to ensure the UCI community is actively working on hazing prevention education and fostering a healthy campus culture.
One result of the Coalition is the creation of UCI’s first hazing prevention website—a hub for all campus community members to explore resources, options for reporting, definitions and more. We encourage you to visit and share this website with your peers, colleagues and community.
Please join us in helping to create a safe campus environment free from hazing. If you are interested in serving on the Coalition in the future, please reach out to any current member or the two chairs.
